CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR
Glynn Barntown ladies Catherine Carley and Celestine Fox were very worthy joint recipients of this years Glynn Barntown “Clubperson of the Year” award at a Wexford District reception held in the Riverbank House Hotel on Saturday evening. Both ladies have given decades of service to the club in a variety of ways and we are most proud to see them honoured for this. We offer them both our congratulations and a heartfelt thanks for their dedication and hard work. Well done to our Senior footballers who held on for a 1 point victory in their championship game against Starlights in Innovate Wexford Park on Sunday Aug 7th. Our men with the help of a strong breeze went into the interval 6 points up yet despite two second half goals from Nigel Usher and Craig Doyle, our opposition assisted by the wind chipped away at the score difference and there was widespread relief as the final whistle sounded and Glynn Barntown took the win.
Our Junior Footballers defeated Rathgarogue Cushinstown in the league in Killurin on Saturday evening.
Our Senior footballers had a one point win in the league over Starlights on Friday evening.
